Lansing Sports Center - Mounds Park Academy
The Challenge
Mounds Park Academy’s enrollment and athletic program had swollen to a point where their current facility could no longer handle its current and future demands. They desired a first class facility that their faculty and students could use for years to come.
The Solution
Haldeman-Homme was contacted for their expertise in athletic facility design and product application. Haldeman-Homme worked closely with the project team which included Mounds Park Academy, Kraus-Anderson, the schools Contractor and the Architect, Pope & Associates to understand the goals of the project. The project team visited the Haldeman-Homme/Anderson Ladd design center to select their athletic floors and equipment and bleacher seating for the new sports center.
The Results
Haldeman-Homme’s ability to work cohesively with the project team to make their vision a reality and their adeptness to provide a turn key quality resulted in The Lansing Sports Center successfully opening its doors in the fall of 2006.
The project solution included Sports Flooring by Robbins sports surfaces. Anderson Ladd installed 30,000 square feet of Robbins Bio Star LP. The athletic equipment was manufactured by Porter Equipment and included 24 basketball back stops, a 2080 center roll curtain, Power Rib volleyball equipment, custom powder coat finish and an automated equipment control system that allows for additional control and security in the operation of the equipment. Haldeman-Homme also installed a massive 20 row Irwin Telescopic 5000 bleacher system.
