We are looking for professional, motivated, experienced candidates to market Hamilton laboratory equipment and furniture to architects, contractors, schools, colleges and research facilities. Accountability:         

Haldeman-Homme Sales Reps are accountable for achieving sales, profit and customer service goals by managing customers, product lines and markets in a professional and efficient manner. Satisfied customers are vital to the company and sales reps have ultimate responsibility for customer satisfaction. Sales reps oversee all communication, internal support staff and supplier performance in our mission to exceed customer expectations.

Responsibilities:     

  1. Represent and sell the Company's lines of merchandise within assigned areas.
  2. Represent Company policies to all business contacts.
  3. Promptly process and manage all customer orders, in accordance with Company procedures.
  4. Inform the sales manager of all problems concerning Company customers in the sales territory and, when necessary, assist the Accounting Department in making collections on accounts receivable.
  5. Build business relationships with customers and prospects in assigned territory.
  6. Develop and execute a business plan for the territory and review with manager for approval.
  7. Follow up on all sales leads within 24 hours.
  8. Develop sales mix for company product lines.
  9. Study company and competing products to maintain our resource leadership role.
  10. Participate in company and supplier training programs as requested by management.
  11. Perform all administrative tasks timely per company best practices procedures.

Requirements:

  1. Qualified candidates MUST have previous laboratory or capital medical equipment sales experience.
  2. Must achieve annual sales and gross profit goals.
  3. Strong organizational skills, detail orientated and conscientious.
  4. Strong problem solving skills.
  5. Must be able to communicate both verbally and in writing in an efficient and professional manner.
  6. Ability to learn the specification and technical details of the products.
  7. Foster positive teamwork relationships with suppliers and fellow employees.
  8. Utilize and maintain current customer contact, sales call and project information in Emanage.
  9. Review sales and career goals frequently with manager.
  10. Maintain an organized and clean office area.
  11. Show evidence of continuous improvement in sales skills.
