4/13/13 - Brent Bieshaar's Xterra Across America triathlon bennefitting the Blazeman Foundation in the fight against ALS

Our very own Brent Bieshaar (age 49) is doing something this spring, summer & fall that is quite extraordinary and inspirational. Brent is competing in 26 Xterra triathlon races across the country benefitting the Blazeman foundation. The Blazeman foundation benefits the war on ALS. His inspiration is a high school friend and teammate named Don Young who has been diagnosed with ALS. This type of Xterra challenge has never been attempted before at any age. An Xterra triathlon is somewhat like an Iron Man race where Brent lake swims, trail runs and mountain bikes along a rugged course in some extreme conditions. He has spent all winter preparing for the challenge, has already finished three races and is competing in the fourth in Las Vegas this weekend. The races are on the weekends, where he typically fly’s out on Friday evenings and is back in the office first thing Monday morning.
