N+ Certification


NETtech Network Technology Training System
Impacts skills necessary for employment as a Network Support Technician and prepare for the Network+ Certification Test.  Student prerequisites: completed Commander or Ranger course or equivalent.  Use with existing IBM-compatible PCs.  All tools and test equipment required are contained in 55625 Network Service Tool Set.


Student Training Program

Includes Graymark Instruction Manual and 3 well-known Reference Texts – more than 3750 total pages.

The Courseware is divided into 3 major topics:

  • Data Communication
  • Peer-To-Peer Networks
  • Client/Server Networks

Course Highlights

The student is challenged with 75 exercises including:

  • Use Internet to collect product information
  • Build & test null modem, coax & UTP cables
  • Configure, install and test FAX/Modem, network interface card and related software
  • Configure and use Windows 95/998 for peer-to-peer LAN
  • Install and configure Windows NT and/or Novell Netware File Server and Client

Support Packages

One Student Training Program is required per student.  Support materials are offered in packages enabling each school to purchase only what is needed.  If a school has a Client/Server site license for example, a Network O/S does not have to be purchased. Packages include:

Instructor’s Package

Includes Instructor’s Guide, Student Manual & Reference Books, faulted parts and information on inserting 100 student-transparent faults, completed exercise worksheets, and more.
