Electromechanical System (Model 8001)

The 0.2 kW Electromechanical System (EMS) is a modular program presented in four units on low-power, industrial type equipment.

All machines have cutaway bell housings to permit visual inspection of the internal construction, and a separate power supply for each workstation provides total control of the necessary power sources (including three-phase), thereby eliminating interference with other concurrent laboratory experiments.

 

Computer-Assisted Electromechanical System

 

Model 8006 is a Computer-Assisted version of Model 8001 0.2 kW Electromechanical Training System (EMS).

This modular program provides new opportunities for laboratory observations in the study of electric power technology.

The Power Electronics Simulation Software (PESIM) is a computer simulation package that delivers quick, efficient, and effective tools for learning power electronics circuit design and analysis.

 

 

Data Acquisition & Management

 

The Lab-Volt Data Acquisition and Management for Electromechanical Systems (LVDAM-EMS), Model 9062, is a computer-based system for measuring, observing, and analyzing electrical and mechanical parameters in electric power systems and power electronics circuits.

It allows training in various areas, such as electric power technology, AC/DC machines, power electronics etc., using modern and versatile measuring instruments.

 

 

Protective Relaying Training

The Lab-Volt 0.2 kW Protective Relaying Training System extends training in protective relaying beyond the operation and calibrations of individual relays into broader circuit applications.

The system provides hands-on training at the system level in Generator Protection, Transformer Protection, and Induction Motor Protection.

It is the perfect add-on to the 8001 EMS Training System for those who wish to extend the teaching of electromechanical systems to the control of industrial motors.

 
 

   Distribution Transformer Trainer

The Lab-Volt Distribution Transformer Trainer, Model 8361, is a portable, hands-on trainer designed to allow students to develop competence in completing single/three-phase transformer connections similar to those performed in the field.

The trainer includes a three-phase wye connected primary line with ground and neutral, and two sets of independent secondary lines to exhibit the complexity of the distribution network.

 

  

 Power Line Compensator

  

 
The Lab-Volt Power Line Series Compensator is designed specifically for hands-on training in the principles of series compensation for electric power transmission lines.
